Sunday Was Fantastic! Mother’s Day!

Sue also hides her’s in the closet!

We are ready for the day and Paul started with a short walk around the hood!  It was a jeans jacket and gloves day as the temperature was in the 50’s when Paul started!

Easy walk this morning!

Our front yard is loaded with apples… another few weeks and they willbe larger and time for apple sauce!

We have apples!

The sky was pretty gray, no threat of rain, but chilly!  The good ol’ jeans jackets worked just fine!  Plus, it is loaded with pockets for the iPhone, spare battery, gloves, headphones, etc.!

Artichokes anyone?

Take a gander at the baby avocados… they will obviously all not make it otherwise the tree will fall over!

The baby avocados are going wild!

We got cleaned up about 4:00 PM and headed for Il Garage which is behind the Park Avenue Steak House near the corner of Katella and Beach Blvd…Il Garage is a tad eclectic plus they use their garden for some of the dishes.  Sue had a fresh beet assortment directly form the garden!

At Il Garage… the flowers were pretty AND functional

Sue is in the photo but hidden in the shade…  Sue and Donna can talk for hours about gardening!

Donna loves the garden

To Bob there are two names for wine… rad and white… and everything in the garden is a begonia!  Much like Paul!

Bob loves the begonias

The sun flower is loking for ht sun and surprisingly enough, we actually had some today.  We were seated well inside the garage so we were ward the whole time!

Sunflowers were growing straight up

No hide and sekk ladies, we are too old!

Sue and Donna discuss the finer points of gardening

We departed about 7:00 PM and headed for home to a nice warm house and more TV watching before crashing!

Our “Flowers Mystery” remains unsolved.  Sue got these beautiful flowers without a name of florist on them…  We checked Colleen off… Who is the mystery person?

Will the mystery person please step forward!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
