It was a magnificent day with the nice warn Sun, unobstructed by clouds, lighting up the flowers like a WWII anti-aircraft spotlight! Paul’s destination was the Rossmoor Shopping Center to test his ability NOT to stop at the bagel store…he was successful1
The three miles of today’s adventure pushed Paul past the 200 mile mark in his quest to hit 500 miles this year! As he rounded the shopping center, Paul spotted Charlie Tuna doing the latest dance. After some serious thought, Paul decided it was a dolphin! How does it do? “Sorry Charlie”.
Returning home the flowers were quite spectacular with the daisy’s just going wild!
After a quick meal, Paul worked in the garage and was rudely notified (by a vibration in the butt) that the delivery man was just five stops away. Today Paul gets pencil holders! Keeping an eye on the phone, Paul ran out to the street and greeted the driver as he passed him by…say what? Yes, we stopped next door and then proceeded to back up to where Paul was standing and delivered the purchases.
Yes! Every couple of months we get together with Jan Mongel for a “Champagne and Pretzel Night” which means random people are invited to eat, drink, and be merry (or Mary). She is just a few short miles away in Villa Park right off the freeway! Easy drive!
Tonight we had the Finch’s along with Bob Z. We arrived about 6:15 PM and Jan poured us out of the house about 11:00 PM after devouring all sorts of goodies and sharing our innermost secrets!
Jan and Bob and bantering back and forth about the latest and greatest whatever!
It’s amazing how friends can get together and all of a sudden five hours can disappear! We giggled, laughed, and told stories all evening.
We had a wonderful time just chewing the fat. You know, those things that never happened were sure a lot of fun!.
We headed west about 11:00 PM arriving at 11:20 PM and we watched a little bit of TV before crashing.
