Did You Know? The name Friday comes from the Old English Frreedæ?, meaning the “day of Frige”, a result of an old convention associating the Old English goddess Frigg with the Roman goddess Venus, with whom the day is associated in many different cultures.
Today we walk… What’s new? Well, today Paul did 30 minutes on accounta cause Miss Sue had the hungry’s and we don’t eat untill Paul returns, so!
We had a nice lunch with Sue’s homemade spinach soup and homemade asparagus soup…delicious with a capital “D”!!!
In the afternoon we watched TV and then Paul headed to the garage continuing the organization and toss out activities. Sooner of later the garage will look like it should! Paul also worked in the yard a bit placing mulch on the bare spots and treating the avocado tree which developed mites.
It’s 5:00 PM and to the showers we go as it is time to go to the Garden Grove Elks! Justus was playing tonight and they are great! Brad and Susie-Q are an amazing couple. We danced a couple of times but Sue’s back is not doing well so we sat most of the evening. Donna and Bob, Leon and Marsha, Marianne and Craig, and Brian and Jan were with us this evening. If you had friends like ours, you’d be the luckiest person in the world!
We stayed until about 9:30 PM before heading home to watch some TV! Paul made chocolate chip cookies around 11:00 PM… to help us sleep! We crashed after seeing one more episode of “Hart Of Dixie”.
See you tomorrow!
