Robin’s Got A Birthday!

Hey… She’s another year old today!  However, we are not going to celebrate it until tomorrow as she has work and other commitments.   Paul took another walk so join him as he explores Rossmoor at Christmas time.

Paul met a dear family of deer. Dear me?

Sue’s foot is getting much better so we decided to play gold until the Santa Ana winds came into play.  Way too much wind so we went to the movies, first time in a year.  We do NOT support Hollywierd and their horrible movies and political positions.  We did decided to see Daddy’s Home Two as it was PG-13.

Did You Know:Daddy’s Home 2 is a 2017 American Christmas comedy film directed by Sean Anders and written by Anders and John Morris. It stars Will Ferrell, Mark Wahlberg, Linda Cardellini, John Cena, John Lithgow, and Mel Gibson. It is a sequel to Daddy’s Home (2015). Unlike its predecessor, Red Granite Pictures was not involved in the film’s production. The plot follows now reformed-fathers Brad and Dusty (Ferrell and Wahlberg), now co-parenting Dusty’s kids, who have to deal with their own fathers (Lithgow and Gibson) visiting for the holidays.

Principal photography on the film began in Massachusetts in March 2017. It was released in the United States by Paramount Pictures on November 10, 2017, received generally unfavorable reviews and has grossed $116 million worldwide.

We have it a “C+” as it had some real funny scenes but it dragged in several spots

After the movie, we went to Old Ranch where we met up with Bunnaford, Charlotte, Dave “O” and others.  We had a great time leaving after a drink and loads of catching up!

Back home, we watched another Christmas movie called “Sweetest Christmas”.  When struggling pastry chef Kylie Watson (Chabert) learns she’s made it to the finals of the American Gingerbread Competition, she thinks her competitive spirit has finally paid off and hopes the publicity will help her jump start her new café. There’s just one problem — the oven she’s supposed to use breaks down right before the contest. Determined to enter, she reaches out to Nick Mazannti (Coco), her old boyfriend from culinary school who gave up his dream of being a pastry chef to take over his family’s pizzeria. Nick allows her to use his industrial pizza oven at night to craft her ambitious gingerbread confections. As the two reminisce about the dreams of their youth, their romance is rekindled. But just as Kylie is on the cusp of taking the grand prize — and embracing true love — things get complicated when her ex-boyfriend takes drastic steps to win her back. Kylie realizes she must embrace the Christmas Spirit or risk losing both the contest and her new love.

Great movie… Fun to watch!

We watched “Friends” until about 11:00 PM and then crashed!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
