It’s that time again! Temecula, here we come. We had lunch at Falkner’s Pinnacle restaurant and, as usual, it was perfect! The weather was cool but the wine was fine!
Oh what to eat said Sue and then she had an idea… Make the hamburger vegetarian and healthy,
The special was pork chop! It was really really good!
Did You Know? A pork chop, like other meat chops, is a cut taken perpendicularly to the spine of the pig and usually containing a rib or part of a vertebra, served as an individual portion. As pork is often cooked more thoroughly than beef, thus running the risk of drying out the meat, pork chops can be brined to maintain moistness. One could also wrap their pork chops in bacon to add further moistness during the cooking process.
We stopped and tasted champagne on the way out of the valley. Thornton has excellent champagnes.
While we where making the rounds, we picked up Donna and Bob’s wines which were waiting. We had the entire back seat of the van loaded with cases and bags of wine!
We decided it was too early to go home so we stopped at Kobe which is six long blocks from out home! Manny made Paul a special spicy tuna carpaccio. Those jalapeno’s were HOT.
Arriving at home we watched a Hallmark Channel romantic movie, some NCIS, and Cheers and then crashed!
