Zooming! 424 Miles Home To Saratoga

Time for a visit to the north!  We departed this morning at 9:00 AM for Saratoga to visit the Porters and then Wednesday we headed to Stockton to visit Aunt Kaye and Tom!  900+ miles in two days!

At Gaviota Pass Rest Station

Where for lunch? Duh!  Andersen’s Split Pea Soup!  This restaurant is simply great.  A wide selection of good food and split pea soup!

Andersen’s Restaurant

Oh… and time for lunch and a glass of wine!

Andersen’s Split Pea Soup for lunch

Did You Know? The “Original” Split Pea Soup is Fat Free, 100% Vegetarian and a good source of protein and iron. Andersen’s canned soups are the next best thing to being here and having it fresh. There are 12 cans in a case which saves you $4.50 per case. We keep a case or two around for “the big one”.

There is Haa-P and Pee-We

PAul really enjoys their food.  Today Paul had a patty melt and it was fantastic.  Oh, he also had a bowl of soup!

Having a great lunch!

We lined up all the glasses… water glasses, wine glasses and diet coke glasses for this picture.

After arriving in Saratoga, Lisa told us she made reservation at the Fondue Restaurant called “La Fondue”  Yeah!  time to dine… again!

Fondue this evening

Off to Diane’s where we visited until about 10:30 PM when the working people crashed.  We stayed up for a while having a glass of wine before crashing.  Tomorrow, we are off to Stockton!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
