Slow Start – Fast Finish!

The foot is getting better but slow!  Paul did some electrical mapping in the attic in preparation for the electrician who is replacing the power panel.  We stayed close to the house all day but finally got cleaned up and ent to the Petroleum Club to see “Good Rockin’ Daddy’.

We had dinner at the Petroleum Club with Leon & Marica and it was pretty good. Marcia wanted the shrimp but was afraid of the budda (East Coast for butter).  Paul wanted the chicken salad but needed a little more.  Marcia and Paul teamed up.  She got the salad, Paul got the shrimp!  Marcia picked the pats of the shrimp scampi that was not in the butta and gave Paul some of her salad.  It was a meal made in heaven for both of us.

Did You Know? Scampi includes various culinary preparations of certain crustaceans, commonly Nephrops norvegicus (the Norway lobster, also known as “Langoustine” or “Dublin Bay Prawns” and sometimes itself called “scampi”), or a similar lobster such as Metanephrops, as well as shrimp or prawns. Scampi preparation styles vary regionally. While the United Kingdom legally defines scampi specifically as Nephrops norvegicus other similar lobsters are considered scampi worldwide.

Saving Marcia from the budda – Paul was her hero!

We could not dance but our friends cut the rug quite well for us.

We had Pat & Margo, Norma & Jerry, Leon & Marcia, Vicky & Del, plus Kathy & Ed!

Watching all the activities

We could not dance but Margot was brave enough to ask Paul to dance. Paul asked her a little later and she said “Yes”.  Paul must have not stepped on her feet too much!

The band was excellent this evening!

It was 10:00 PM and time to get Sue off the foot and sitting down!  When the foot is not iced every few hours, the pain is pretty bad.  We returned home and watched a little TV and crashed.

Oops!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
