Celebration Day!

We were officially retired 3,000 days!  We keep track of it on our front page! Paul worked in the garden tending the veggies while Sue worked magic in the kitchen.  She made French onion soup using our own onions and cooked squash.  While outside, Paul discovered a bunch of green beans that were “too big to eat” so we asked the internet what to do about that!  We found out that the beans can be taken out of their pods and boiled until soft and then sautee’ them with some onions, garlic, olive oils.  In the South they call it “shellies”.  We tried it and it was delicious!  Never again will Paul worry about not getting outside in time to pick!

We then got ready for a trip to Malarkeys to meet up with Irene and Greg!

The fog was coming in aas we departed!

We went home so Sue could do the treadmill before crashing for the evening!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
