Fertilizer Day? That Sounds Odd!

We did some work around the house including starting the vegetable garden fertilization process before going to the chiropractor at 10:00.  Upon returning, Sue made lunch while Paul continued the gardening work.  Fertilizing 34 tomatoes plus all the peppers, onions, beans, carrots, beets and squash is a job.

In order to fertilize the plants you have to go to the bottom of the plant and put in 3-4 tablespoons of fertilized about 4 inches from the stem and work it into the dirt then water deeply.  It took about four hours to do our back yard.

You can see the 8-10 diameter ring around the tomato.  Paul had to to this about 80 times and then work the fertilizer into the ground very carefully without hurting the roots.  Loads of work but it will pay off in a few days!

After working all day we headed to Patty’s for a drink before going to the Phoenix Club.  Patty’s is in Seal Beach and a great place to dine.  Paul did the New Zealand Lamb Chops!

We almost ordered a side of ham for grandson Jon (inside joke)

At 6:30 we headed East to the Phoenix Club for an evening with the Zaitz, Adamsons, and Roberts.  Marianne and Craig also joined us!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
