We went to Seasons 52 for lunch and then across the street to the OC Performing Arts Center to see Pippin. The musical was interesting but lacked a storyline that was easy to follow. Summary: Pippin is a Tony Award-winning musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Roger O. Hirson. Bob Fosse, who directed the original Broadway production, also contributed to the libretto. The musical uses the premise of a mysterious performance troupe, led by a Leading Player, to tell the story of Pippin, a young prince on his search for meaning and significance.
We headed for home to get into our formal attire and head for the Yorba Linda Country Club to dance with the Starlighters. Join the fun!
