Day 9 – Family Day, Yeah!!

 GM

Estimated reading time: 2 minutes

Today we stayed “home”. Colleen and Robin went to the market early and got the supplies we needed. Today the plan is:

  • Go shopping for supplies needed for cookie backing and apple sauce
  • Come to the Inn for a formal tea
  • REturn to Colleen’s and have dinner
  • Visit

Breakfast was wonderful again, as the Silver Fountain Chef does a superb job every day! Mary is always fun to be with, so we had breakfast together while Colleen and Robin went shopping.

A magic potion was within her reach.

As I tried to ignore the ship sound, I saw something heading our way. Oh now, Mary has been at the computer again!

We sat and talked for a good hour before going to our room. I tried out the Sony camera that Joe gave me, and it appears to work fine. Robin came in from shopping, and we will be ready to make cookies with the great-grandkids this afternoon after the formal tea from 1:30-3:30 pm.

Meanwhile, Mary does some sewing.

We heard the great-grandchildren stampede downstairs and came to investigate. They told us they had scared a turkey out of the bushes, and it was a real gas!!

He was a REGULAR turkey, not supreme.

Thyme for tea with the princesses!!!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
