All Engines Activated; Off We Go!

I found a profit-making activity!

We were lazy this morning, not getting up until almost 7:00 AM.  I guess we know it is going to be a busy day!  Mary wrapped and stamped a package for our friend Virgil so we could take it to the post office.  He is 93 and like the large Sudoku puzzles.

Sudoku is a unique new word puzzle where you place a list of given words into a 9×9 grid according to Sudoku rules.  The words must all be placed in the grid so that each of the nine rows, columns, and blocks only contains unique letters.  Words may overlap, and each cell must contain a letter from at least one word.

We are off to “Girls’ Night Out” at the Elks, our weekly outing.  We were joined by Iris and Will, Bob and Lacey, Mike and Linda Ash, and Bob Z.  It was a gaggle!

They are ready to eat!

I put the camera into theater mode, and the picture came out quite nicely!

I love the camera filters!

The meal was delicious; the Elks did a magnificent job in the dining arena.  The steak was perfect, and the veggies were just right.

I bet my butcher he couldn’t reach the meat on the top shelf.  He said he wasn’t going to bet with me.  He told me the steaks were too high.

My steak was super, and I shared it with Dr. Mary!

I just had to ask Mary, “Is a vegetarian permitted to eat animal crackers?” She did a cup of soup and the spa salad, but she got some steak also!

Confucius say… epileptic lettuce farmer makes “seizure salad.”

She is eating grass again.

We returned home, worked around the house for a while, and then got ready to go to Patty’s Place in Seal Beach.

Photobombed by Dr. Mary!

We met up with Robin, Pam, and Cathy.  The six of us howled and hooted for two solid hours.  It was a blast.  Pam is still working primarily from home, so it works out fine.

We dined at PAtty’s Place with friends from work.

Colleen was our designated driver this evening, so I enjoyed several glasses of wine; perhaps that was the reason for all the fun!  Mary joined right in, and Robin was flying high.

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
