How do you know your old? People call at 9 p.m. and ask, “Did I wake you?”
FLASH FLASH FLASH!!! As of this morning, Mary has thirteen days remaining to work before retirement sets in! Yeah! The week of Thanksgiving, Mary is pulling up stakes, and we will be together 24×7; we are looking forward to that! I mentioned to Mary, “Retirement is wonderful. It’s doing nothing without worrying about getting caught at it.”
It’s Monday, and you are being treated to another of Paul’s favorites courtesy of YouTube! This time it is “Harbor Lights” by the Platters!
The lyrics describe the sight of harbor lights in the darkness, which signal that the ship carrying the singer’s sweetheart is sailing away. The lonely singer hopes that the lights will someday signal the sweetheart’s return.
Before Mary departed, we walked Five Miles and saw some decorations of note!
He looks vicious, but fortunately, we was stuffed!
I was wondering how Halloween is going in New Hampshire with Jackie? Then a picture showed up. It is my granddaughter and husband with my great-granddaughter!
I got two scanners for my son, who will try to scan some photo albums from which Colleen is looking to get digital copies, and I found a unique picture of my mother and father! I was very fortunate to have such loving parents, and I miss them ever so much. Dad has been gone 50 years and Mom 30 years; I’d love to have them back for an evening of sharing! Alas, that is not to be.
Yes, I did! I was at an ATM, and this old lady asked me to help check her balance, so I pushed her over.
I finished off the Octoberfest Website, and it went into “production” today!
The “To-Do List” was two pages long, and by golly, I did it! Everything is done, especially for me. I am tired, but I did manage a trip to the market and completed our shopping list plus some other goodies. Tonight will be New York Steak on the barbie with a nice salad containing home-grown tomatoes!
Mary and Colleen got home about the same time, and I jumped into action. We had fresh artichokes, and I made a great salad, then came the steaks! Good dinner. We talked until 9:00 p.m. and then crashed as Colleen had to be up and ready to go at 4:00 a.m. We are going to miss her terribly.
