I started with nothing, and I still have most of it.
We woke up very early in the morning, and the local rooster even shushed us. Mary took care of the house chores while Colleen and I went to Home Depot to purchase some supplies. We bought a heater, bags of soil to hold down Joe’s lamp posts, electrical equipment, and some plants. We made a list of the items we needed, and we are sticking to it.
The pool looked inviting even at 6:00 AM!
The roses still had their charge from last night.
We worked until 10:00 AM and then got ready to attend “Girls Night Out” at the Santa Ana Elks. Colleen submitted her application, and Dr. Capps endorsed it. If everything goes according to plan, Colleen will be initiated on her next visit.
We had a load of fun, and Iris even got her two dozen oysters!
The girls were told to wear hats last week because it’s close to Halloween..
We had to leave early as the three of us had appointments with the hairdresser. Yes, I go to a hairdresser, and she is outstanding. I end up looking handsome and de-boner.
We stop this enjoyable reading to bring you a flash. Lisa just got married (a real wedding but not the formal one is coming up). CONGRATS!!!!!
After I became beautiful, it was time for the girls to take their turn. I went to Home Depot again to pick up some last minutes goodies like firelogs, etc.
Mary made us dinner from leftovers, and it was perfect! She is a little creative at times!
After dinner, we fired up the lights and arranged them following the seating chart. The yard is plenty bright enough, and tomorrow Joe is coming over, and we will light up the dance floor with overhead lights! We expect about 80 people, so we have eight tables for ten.
We fired up the fire pit to see how much heat it would throw. At 9:00 PM, it was still 72 degrees, so the fire will be for decoration.
Colleen puts the finishing touches on some lighting.
We flipped on the pool lights, and voila, we are ready!
We crashed at 9:00 (Mary and I watched “Short Circuit,” a funny movie about a human robot). Number 5 of a group of experimental robots in a lab is electrocuted, suddenly becomes intelligent, and escapes.
