“Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new.” – Albert Einstein
It’s time for the Silver Ghost and me to make a “wine run”, or in today’s case, a champagne run! Yes, the cabinet was almost bare with no spare champagne. OMG, what if we had an earthquake and went to the cupboard and found it empty of champagne. That would be a real disaster.
So, up the 605, the Silver Ghost and I flew, leaving more ordinary passenger vehicles looking in awe as we cut through the air like a sharp knife. Me in my crash helmet, leather ear-flaps waving in the wind, and airplane goggles, I could hear the sound barrier breaking behind us. The excitement was short-lived as Total Wine, and our house is three miles door to door.
We opted out of going to dinner with the Kuhn’s and Zaitz as Sue’s back pain is so intense it was not a right choice. I stayed in with Sue. When I delivered the message to Vicky (also our next-door neighbor), I also brought the latest Pug cartoon (Vicky has a baby Pug). Too cute!
What happened to the Sun? Today started grey, continued to be grey, and finished up grey! I used some of the time to straighten up the workshop and I put in a 20′ x 27″ rubber runner on Sue’s side of the car as I was tired of the small rugs moving about.
We watched some TV and headed to the rack about 11:30 PM as Monday unfolds with an early morning trip to the CT machine near Long Beach Airport.
