Saturday So What Should We Do???

There was nothing to stop things from falling into the house 100 years ago. Items falling posed a real problem in the bedroom where bugs and other droppings could mess up your beautiful clean bed. Hence, a bed with big posts and a sheet hung over the top afforded some protection. That’s how canopy beds came into existence.

It’s a lovely day in the hood!

We got up and had our champagne before doing the physical therapy exercises.  The Topper’s newsletters were ready, but when I went to mail them at 10:30 AM, the postman had already been here.  To the Silver Ghost and off to the post office, I went with 60 envelopes in hand!

The picture below came to me, and it was too funny not to pass on!

Too funny!

We did lunch and had left-over Mexican food; it was delicious!  I managed one small enchilada, which is all I wanted as I am creeping under 210 pounds again!

In the afternoon, Sue did 25 minutes on the treadmill, and each day we are hoping to increase the time.  After the exercise, we both took naps, and since I got up earlier, I made a command decision to not go to GG tonight.  We need to rest up so we can get to the Jam Session at Santa Ana tomorrow.

I made my call to Disneyland today and found out that at 7:00 AM, I must call and get our reservation for the Christmas Tour for Christmas Eve. I have all three of our phones charged and ready to go!  We need eleven tickets. We are taking the Adams, Duda’s, and Linds with us.  This year it is Sue’s 53rd consecutive year going to Disneyland on Christmas Eve; it’s my 32nd year!

We watched a brand new Christmas movie entitled “The Knight Before Christmas,” a Netflix special. A medieval English knight gets magically transported to the present day, where he falls for a high school science teacher who is disillusioned by love.

Quite a difference between 1335 and 2019, but it worked!

We watched new episodes of our standards before crashing.  Tookies were terrible tonight!  We want Nestle’s to get their Tollhouse brand back on the shelves!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
