A Mexican magician was doing a magic trick. He said, Uno, Dose, and he disappeared without a trace!
We were lazy today! While looking at the calendar, we forgot that we had got tickets for Vicky, our neighbor, to see The American Mariachi at Segerstrom. We called her and thank goodness she was able to go!
When she returned, she let us know that she really loved the show!
We had lunch at home and did nothing most of the day…we need more days like that! I got the backup report and did ‘t realize our website was so large.
While walking around the side of the house, I spotted a Praying Mantis on the wall. Praying mantis are from 2.5 to 15 centimeters (1 to 6 inches) long, depending on the species. They have six legs, two antennae and triangular heads with bulging eyes supported on flexible necks. praying. The insect uses its grasping front legs to capture and hold its prey
Did You Know? Mantises like their food still moving, apparently. Which makes them helpful in pest control as they sup on all kinds of insects, including crickets and grasshoppers. They go zombie because in their taste in body parts, that is; when they capture birds, they go straight for the brains. Praying mantises are also preyed upon by bats, but they are no easy victim. They can detect the bats’ echolocation sounds and when they are approached, they dive to the ground, often executing spirals and loops on their way; if caught, they try to slash their way to freedom by use of their big spiky front legs. Bam! Pow!
Later in the evening we watched TV and looked as the Sun set into the West! All in all, a good day!
