Friday And Time Needed For Recovery

“All people are born alike. Except Republicans and Democrats.” — Groucho Marx

It’s a great day in the neighborhood

We had Pete and Lisa stay over last night and we visited until almost midnight. In the morning, we all rose from the dead and managed to become presentable heading to Gourmet Pies on Katella at 10:00 AM for a great meal!

Our daughter in law is really funny…great sense of humor and a smile that makes the room light up. Breakfast was a hoot as we laughed and giggled for two hours.

Pete and Lisa

They had to be home about 1:00 PM as Lisa was working…she takes care of the elderly and has several long term clients. Pete, lucky guy, gets to paint kitchen cabinets!

The afternoon was filled with yard work as I trimmed several trees, picked tomatoes, and let the neighbors know that the plum tree was busting at the seams with fruit.

We went to the GG Elks for dinner and dancing with friends. Our table was full this evening and we had a great time laughing and giggling…good friends is what life is all about!

The wine was flowing along with the Gin & Tonics!

We all danced and the band, called L365, played a ten-step polka. I was going to join in but wanted to get the video!

After the dance we headed home and watched some TV before crashing…it’s been a great week!!! Remember these???

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
