It’s Official, Half The Year Is Gone

I’ve learned that life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer it gets to the end, the faster it goes.

Fast? OMG, it was January just yesterday! Well, there is a bright side to everything…we finished that silly puzzle. With the able assistance of my bride she found and installed every last piece except one so it was down on the floor, hands and knees with power flashlights…no bueno yet but it will appear!

Done and put away!

Time for a walk! Besides I needed some Staples supplies…one more plastic organizing box and I ran out of stationary. Off I go for 90 minutes and 3.5 miles!

Departing home remaining my of how dangerous it is there!

The summer warmth has brought about great numbers of flowers as the camera reveals. The hydrangeas were glistening in the sun! At your next function, be sure to drop in these smarty pants facts. The scientific name for Hydrangeas comes from the Greek words “hydro” (water) and “aggos” (a jar) and refers to the fruits of the plant, which are cup-shaped. Throw in that the showy parts of the flowers are sepals, not petals, then walk away

High pH soil!

As the walk unfolds, I was amazed by this busy backyard. Looks terrific and likely does not require a lot of work if you work a little bit every day!

Goodies everywhere! Love the watering cans!

Walking towards staples, I saw a collection of agapanthus which are all over the hood. Agapanthus comes from the Greek words ‘agape’ and ‘anthus’, and when put together, mean ‘love flower’, although it is not certain why they are so named .

Beautiful flowers

The shopping is complete and time to head home for lunch! The hood seems to be decorated for the 4th of July.

Love that Butterfly

We had lunch and then Jonathan called…he is still in the hospital after three weeks and is getting tired of it! We wished we could do something for him but it’s a matter of wait and see.

So we settled in for a quiet evening as Irene stayed home due to not feeling well and the Finch’s were tied up with real estate people. we decided not to go to Malarkey’s tonight.

ER and Grey’s Anatomy filled our evening. Oh, tookies also!
