The first time I got a universal remote control I thought to myself, “This changes everything”.
At 10:00 AM, after a rousing hour with that infernal puzzle, we headed to LabCorp to get some blood work done in preparation for next weeks operation.
Then off to lunch at CPK with Miss Robin. Catching up on things with our daughter is always fun…the real nitty gritty..and loads of memories.
Robin confirmed she has all the supplies of egg coloring in two weeks…she took them last year and got everything ready for this year! Great fun is coming our way!
Every year, we come up with something new in the way of decorating eggs. This year, I am going to try the Cool Whip approach!
How Is It Done You Ask?
Place eggs in a large bowl and cover with white vinegar. Soak for 2 minutes, drain and dry the eggs thoroughly.
On a large plate or small baking sheet, spread your whipped topping in an even layer about 1/2” deep. Drop food color in single drops about an inch apart, in as many colors as you choose. Use a toothpick to swirl the colors to a marbled effect. Roll eggs in whipped cream and let sit 10 to 15 minutes.
Remove from whipped cream (you may want to use latex gloves to avoid staining hands) and rinse until no whipped topping remains. Let dry completely on a paper towel and display.
After lunch, we returned home as full as a tick! I took a short nap as we are going dancing this evening at the Phoenix Club and dancing two complete sets is tiring.
We are actually planning to have Mitch come to the Phoenix Club and take a couple of lessons as there are several ladies who are looking for dance partners and they are quite lovely people!
After the dance, we returned home to watch S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Gilmore Girls. Tomorrow is a busy day!
