The Week Begins…

Well, here I am! What are your other two wishes?

The week is now underway and all will be well. Today we have two things to do…find a ceiling fan that Alexa can control and get organized for the Avalon Ball which is coming up!

First… must walk and see the sights plus I needed to go to Ralph’s for supplies! It was a super walk today…plenty warm!

Not shabby for an ol’ man!

Since I have been walking for several years now, I know a lot of the neighbors well enough to say hello and discuss the weather. Today, it was a good day to discuss the weather!

I was thinking about my daughters and was delighted to find the picture of me walking Robin down the aisle at her wedding many moos ago…she was so happy to have me there! We were at Colleen’s weddings and almost made it to Michele’s but their elopement made it impossible to get to St. Bart’s fast enough!…Special occasions with special people.

It was a proud moment! Robin and Bob are a wonderful couple!

Today we start another puzzle…Frank’s Friendly Service! 18″x24″ and 500 pieces. Before…

Remembering the good ol’ days!

During the puzzle construction it doesn’t resemble anything. We have it on the dining room table so we pass it many times a day.

This is how it begins!!

Because we have so much on the computer, I mapped my backups and found out we are probably overkilled. We have complete backups of all the computers on iCloud, Carbonite, Google One, MS1Drive, Dropbox, and Amazon Drive! $350/year and totally covered! Yeah!

Trivia is so fascinating…. please enjoy my latest find!

We got ready for our weekly Melanies visit with Irene. We had a great time discussing the worlds events and solving them…whoosh, the magic wand is working this evening. The fog rolled in as we saw the sun drop into the ocean.

Pretty dramatic! The “clouds” in the photos are actually the start of the fog rolling in!

Crazy Greg called as this was happening and from Palos Verdes he did not see a great sunset! The fog had not reached them yet! We had our gin & tonic, a glass of wine, and just gazed at the majesty of Mother Nature!

Homeward bound we took the freeway home so we could checkout the construction at 2nd & PCH… that shopping center is really coming along. It’s going to be nice but it also brings more people and more traffic plus it will likely hurt the Seal Beach Main Street businesses! Sue and I are kinda funny that way, we will pay a little more money and do business with a local small store rather than spend money in the larger stores.

We watched two episodes of Eureka and then crashed. Here is an example from Season five, episode three:

“Fargo leaves Eureka for the airport to find Holly. On the road, he notices a stretch with a “leaving Eureka” sign repeating due to a malfunction of the simulation. Zane sees a bird stuck in a rock and goes to help it. Carter’s avatar objects then starts to malfunction. Beverly returns to Eureka to avenge Holly’s death by helping Carter rescue the crew. She plugs Carter into the simulation to replace his avatar. Beverly and Carter help the crew destroy the simulation by exploding the virtual Astraeus. The explosion will overheat the central processor and allow Henry to track the crew. However, the explosion causes the simulation to collapse with the crew within. giving Zane an electrical shock ejects him from the simulation. Zane wakes to find a Consortium soldier about to shoot him then is saved by Jo. Zane ejects everyone but Carter from the simulation. Senator Wen logs out Beverly from the computer system so she cannot eject Carter from the simulation. Senator Wen and a large group of soldiers storm Henry’s garage. They attempt to disconnect Carter from the mainframe. Henry produces a stun grenade. Beverly has Zane log her on to the system. She ejects Carter from the simulation. Beverly apprehends Senator Wen and sends her into the simulation, trapping her in a virtual version of the Sheriff’s office.”
