Hump Day Has Arrived Again!

Paul always remembers this quote and if you want to see how it has worked over the years, please share a note Paul got from a guy I met back in 1960…OMG, almost 60 years ago!  I remember him as several years younger than me but quite likeable.  He used to come by the “ham shack” and hang around so I would put him on the air and show him some of my tricks about talking.  It was amazing to get the letter so many years later.

Paul did the “standard walk” making it three miles in 80 minutes.  Paul is up to 287 miles this year.  Paul did not meet any of his doggy friends on this walk. For whatever reason, Paul hit exactly 3 miles when he returned home.

Out and about!

Love those flowers…these little guys are all along seal Beach blvd and they are constantly in motion because of the traffic.  The little guys are absolutely beautiful but Paul has no idea what they are called.

What is it?

On the way home,  Paul saw this little truck who was all decorated for 4 July!  The people in this house decorate this little truck for every significant holiday.

After returning home, we had brunch and then call headed for the hardware store. Today, Paul was after some new plants including herbs, hey single tomato, and 30 mixed corn plants. The corn is going to be planted in the front yard on Vicky’s side of the house so her grandsons can see it grow. We are already picking corn from the backyard garden and it is delicious.

Paul planted the corn and visited with Vicky for a while. She can hardly wait to tell her grandsons that”Farmer Paul quote has planted the corn just so they could see it grow.

At 3 o’clock, we headed over two old Ranch country club to have a drink with James and Linda. We chatted with them until almost 5:00 PM.  We made a golf date with James for next Tuesday one in the afternoon. After they went home, we set for another thirty minutes we set for another thirty minutes before heading Down to Santa Ana for our monthly Starlighters dance club board meeting.  The meeting ran a little long tonight so we didn’t get back home until after 8 PM.

Upon returning home, we watched a Hallmark movie and finally crashed around midnight.

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
