It’s August 1st and the year is moving so very fast! We worked around the house for a while and decided, due to Cabin Fever, we would go out before Happy Hour. We went to the local Brewery and enjoyed a glass of wine and Paul had some mussels. We sat outside under the tent and had a great view of the Long Beach Harbor.

At 4:30 PM we headed to Malarkey’s to meet up with Irene. Greg is in the desert with his dad enjoying a few days away from LA. It is Irene’s birthday on the 3rd so we decided to celebrate a little earlier!

We love to shop for Irene… We look for interesting (and edible) stuff. Edible so it does not have to be stored for very long!
Opening the presents
A dessert showed up unannounced and we found out who was behind it… Jennifer is a very thoughtful young lady! Malarkey’s is lucky to have such a great employee!

We headed for home afterwords to watch a movie (that means, Sue did the treadmill). We then watched three more episodes of Star Trek. We decided sometimes the episodes get a “little goofy”. We laughed and turned in at 12:30 AM. Tomorrow is a gold day!
