Golf Day With James

We worked in the garden for a while before getting ready to go to Old Ranch to play nine holes with James.  Gardening is pretty easy these days.  Each of the three raised beds you see below are four feet wide by 24 feet long and the walkways are 24 inches wide allowing for Paul and his wagon/trash cans to move easily.

The walls are 24 inches tall… Perfect to sit on. We have power and water on every bed so no hose need be over 20 feet long!

Looks small… Well, we have 60 corn stalks planed here plus 30 tomato plants, asparagus, beets, carrots, peppers, strawberries, onions, cucumbers, hweba, cantaloupe, and Swiss chard.

Along the east facing wall we have additional tomatoes (for a total of forty in the front and back yards), eggplant, and onions.  The raised bed is eighty feet long and about three to four feet wide.  This bed gets morning shade and afternoon sun!

The back-wall bed is eighty feet long!

We played nine with James and did pretty good for old folks! We had a great time and Linda came over to join us afterwords for Happy Hour.  Bunnaford joined us with Dave “O” also!  Great fun!

We departed Old Ranch at 8:30 PM and Sue hit the treadmill at 9:00 PM.  We watched some old Hawaii Five-O series before crashing.

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
