Bright and early we headed to Paul’s generalist Dr Asbill. He has been seeing Paul since Paul first became an “Executive” with the Rockwell Company and that was in 1982 or over 34 years ago. Executives had to have an annual physical and when Paul retired he thought that to be a good tradition to carry on.
Since the doctor has known him for thirty years plus, we keep going! Anyway, today was “blood work” in preparation for the physical next week!
Sue had a GREAT idea for lunch… We went to a little restaurant called “Gourmet Cafe and Pie Company” on Katella! It’s an amazing little place and the reasons Sue decided Thursday was the day is because on weekends the line forms all the way around the building!
Paul, listening to his doctors advice post hear surgery, ordered a chili-size with a veggie burger. It was terrific… One of the best he ever tried. Sue had an amazing salad enough to fill three people!
We went home and rested a bit. Paul was supposed to walk but alas a nap took precedence! We departed the house for Sue’s hand therapy session at 2:00 and we are happy she is getting back to that effort! That was the place where Paul realized we has having his heart attack. The office staff knew it also and were all excited to see Sue and see Paul walking around!
We went VFR to Old Ranch afterwords to have a drink before going home when all of a sudden were were surrounded by friends who just came off the links! We put tables together and talked for two hours! Paul was so filled with iced tea he squished when he walked! A lot of the conversation today was about dogs… Between James and Bunnaford, they have five dogs! Paul decided to tell them about the new app for their iPhones!
We departed Old Ranch in just enough time to change and head for the Phoenix Club where we danced for several hours. We met up with Connor, our grandson, there and heard about his new promotion at the real estate loan company! It was a good evening.
We tried to watch NCIS but we both were half asleep to we decided to limit it to two episodes and then crashed at midnight!
