Fact: On 16 December 1965, the song ‘Jingle Bells’ made history by becoming the first song to be played in space during NASA’s Gemini 6A space flight. At least… we think it was the first…
Today was a great day; Christmas got officially started, MAry is Covid free I stopped coughing, and Scout, The Wonder Dog, chased off the UPS, USPS, and FexEx guys, all at once!
We walked the garden and then headed for the shower as we had a hair appointment at 9:00 AM. We want to look pretty for this evening’s dance at the Elks!! My appointment took 20 minutes, and I picked up Mary at 1:00 PM (four hours?) She looked terrific, all ready for Swingtine at the Eks!
We took a short nap but at 4:00 PM we were up and ready to go!
We danced and danced and danced! Mary asked me to dance with the singles and I did along with Dr. Zaitz. Irene, Vicky, and Brenda all had their feet attacked by my clodhoppers!
You can see the pictures from the dance right here!
We walked the silent auction and won an outdoor smoker/grill plus an opportunity to have our colors checked by Mary Capps!
Drew and Bob Carlson was with us this evening; great fun!!!
What do you call dancing by the sink? Tap dancing.
The hit of the evening was the Andrews Sisters; they were amazing! They really lit up the evening.
We wandered home at about 10:00 PM, but we stopped at Ace’s and had a glass (or two) of wine, and met some new folks! After all, it is Christmas!
We finally wandered home around 11:00 PM, and I attempted to get the loot out of the car, but it was too heavy, and I was too tired!
