Meal Prep!

Fact: Pistachios are a “drupe,” a fleshy tree fruit containing a shell-covered seed.

While the girls were cleaning the house, we went shopping for last minutes supplies for tonight’s dinner.  Since we were close to Jan’s house, we stopped by and delivered a case of vino!

We did a “Fly By” for Jan.

We worked all afternoon getting ready for dinner.  We worked slow because we also watched the latest Jurrasic Park movie.

For dinner, we had stuffed zucchini, corn on the cob, fruit salad, and strawberry cheesecake.

Did You Know? Corn is an ingredient in more than 3,500 grocery products. • One bushel of corn can make 33 pounds of sweetener, 32 pounds of starch, or 2 1/2 gallons of ethanol fuel. • Corn is the 3rd most important food crop of the world measured by production volume, behind wheat and rice.

We had a wonderful evening, and I was so happy that we selected a good Cab for Betty and Ed.  Mary and I are partial to $2.00 Chuck!

Betty & Ed joined us for dinner.

Ed and David talked about growing up with cars and racing.  I sat back and enjoyed the vanter back and forth.  These small dinner parties are a load of fun!

David regaled us with stories of yesteryear.

Everybody headed home about 9:30 PM and we cleaned up and crashed.

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
