We went to church this morning and then went to the hospital to visit Ernie. We returned home to do a few chores around the house before going to Cerritos to see a tribute to Glenn Miller. The fabulous Tex Beneke Orchestra plays the most popular music of the Swing era. This tribute features the 1950s vocal groups The Four Freshmen (Graduation Day) and The Four Lads (Moments to Remember). Two groups honoring the music of the Big Band era will be The Lindy Sisters performing The Andrews Sisters hits and String of Pearls presenting tunes from Glenn Miller.
A great show… Why can’t we get real music like that anymore??
After the show we headed to ORCC for a happy hour with James & Linda, and Shaun & Terri. Bunnaford opted out this evening! We then headed for home too do the treadmill and watch some TV.
