Two Weeks At Sea!
We were in dire need of a proper getaway, far from the familiar surroundings of our home and garden. After going through a plethora of travel publications, we finally settled on Hawaii as our ideal destination. The question of how to reach there then arose, and we found the perfect solution in the form of a cruise. With five days of travel to get there, four days to explore the breathtaking islands, and another five days to make our way back, we have a total of two weeks to simply relax and unwind. Of course, we plan on dancing every night, because why not?
We both have previously traveled on Princess and it is a good line. We both have status as Medallion Members which gives us some goodies.
Our ship is the Emerald Princess which just went through a multi-million dollar overhaul and update in 2019.
Lets get going!
Since we are going to be in the room on and off for two weeks, we opted for a Penthouse Suite on the 14th floor amidships!
We don't really care where it goes in Hawaii as we both have been there but we have made plans to visit a pineapple plantation (which got canceled), go zip lining, and visit the Elks Lodge on Waikiki and walk the Ala Moana Shopping Center (the Hawaii's largest outdoor shopping center).
The Itinerary Was Interesting And Changed!

* Maui Lahaina was the original destination before the fire
** Early arrival to avoid Hurricane Hillary
*** One day early because we bypassed Ensenada, many got off but we stayed on board.
Scout seems to be in a tropical mood lately! He's been barking "Aloha Oe" non-stop and trying on all sorts of Hawaiian hats. Little does he know that his Aunt Irene and Sister Robin will be coming to stay with him while we're away on our ocean voyage. I'm sure he'll have a great time with them, and we'll make sure to bring back some delicious pineapple treats for him!
