August 4th - We Got Ready And Made It To The Ship In One Piece!
There's nothing quite like the rejuvenating feeling of a vacation, especially after a period of hard work. It's a great way to recharge and come back to daily life feeling refreshed and energized.
It's interesting to see how different people approach packing for a vacation. Mary seems to be very organized and thorough with her packing lists, while Paul takes a more laid-back approach. Regardless of their methods, we both will have a great time on vacation and will come back feeling refreshed!
We're all packed up and ready to hit the road Saturday morning at 10:00 am sharp. Our goal is to make it to San Pedro by 11:00 am, so we're hoping for a smooth journey. Fingers crossed for good weather and light traffic!
Paul's packing is easy!
Mary, on the other hand, is packed for every eventuality including a snow storm in Honolulu!
The shirts are ready to go!
Packing is 99% complete so it is time to unlax and go to lunch. Paul wanted something spicy as cruise ships do not understand spicy unless you can get a crew member to cough up some of his own hot sauce.
The Royal Khyber is the destination for some spicy goodies!
The Robin pose is always needed!
Lamb Vindaloo with rice!
Did You Know? - Vindaloo is a British-Indian curry dish with meat (mostly lamb or chicken, but sometimes also pork) in a sharper-than-sharp sauce with pieces of potato. Through the chill heat, you will taste vinegar and sugar, the delicate layering of spices in the sauce.
That's my girl!
After a long day of packing, we finally returned home to grab a few more things before heading out for dinner. It was a special occasion because we were celebrating Donna's birthday at Renada's Italian Restaurant in The Orange Circle. The atmosphere was lively and the food was incredible. We had a wonderful time and I'm so glad we were able to make it a memorable celebration for Donna
The surprise bag!
It will go well in her kitchen.
We love our girls!
We are not too bad either!
