Three Days Of Planning/Packing/Placing
I wanna hang a map of the world in my house. Then I'm gonna put pins into all the locations that I've traveled to. But first, I'm gonna have to travel to the top two corners of the map so it won't fall down.
T-3: (Monday)
We worked three days getting ready to go and the biggest issue was planning for the baby; this is Dr. Scouts first long distance outing. He needed food, medicines, bedding, pillows, Gameboy, radio, TV, snacks, treats, toys, cookies, etc.
He did offer to drive!
Mary did a detailed plan, day by day. I did limit Mary to a maximum of four oversize suitcases, eighteen pairs of shoes (hey, we are going to be gone nine days), and a dozen purses.
Paul, on the other hand, counted how many days and threw in nine of everything, except shoes.
T-2: (Tuesday)
Errand day getting Mary-Approved snacks or the trip, visiting Jan, alerting our every-watching neighbors of the trip, and assuring the lights, watering system, and alarm/ camera systems were all in working order. We stopped at AAA and got (ready for this?) paper maps!
Mary knows how to read them!
T-1: (Wednesday)
Scout had a hair appointment at 11:00 AM so he could be beautiful for the trip! He is really wondering that is happening! He will be surprised when we wake his happy butt up tomorrow at 5:00 AM!
Paul completed packing the digital world and got the necessary tools for on-the-road repairs ready. The van is gassed up to the max with a 400 mile before gas station flag shinning.
We packed the car as we are going to depart before 6:00 AM tomorrow. That is correct, Mary will be sleeping in the back seat with Scout and we ought to be in Bakersfield before she and Scout wake up!
I did go to the bank and filled one suitcase with money!
More truth to this than it looks!
Robin came over around 4:30 PM and joined us for dinner. We also went to Jan's to visit. We are 99% ready to go!
Look for the happy beaver since we are going to Oregon. The "Beaver State" was late in officially recognizing the American Beaver (Castor canadensis) as a state symbol. He will not lead you astray (so he says).
