We have 18 couples heading over the bounding main this year! The three section below will provide you with the boat information, the hotel arrangements, and the dining for Friday and Saturday. Get ready to have fun!

We leave the planning information here for future reference and to assist us in the 2016 planning activities!

The  Boat Ride Over And Back

We depart on Catalina Express at 12:15 PM from the Downtown Long Beach (NOT the Queen Mary) office at 320 Golden Shore, Long Beach, CA 90802.

We need to be at the office by 11:30 to check-in.

Parking is available in a parking structure next door for $15/24 hour period.

We have been upgraded to the Commodore Lounge meaning we get great seats upstairs and a drink for the ride over and back!

We leave Catalina on Sunday morning at 11:45.

The group cost in total was $3,066 for 31 passages plus they comp'ed us one for a total of 32.  So we took $3,066 and divided by 32 to get a total of $96/pp (acutally $95.81)round trip and we have the Commodore Lounge both ways! The Reservation Agreement is available below.

Our Hotel Arrangements

We are staying at the Villa Portofino Inn located on the "main drag" at 111 Crescent Ave, Avalon, CA 90704   (310) 510-0555. The Catalina Taxi is available for those who may need a ride.

We have five suites and twelve rooms.

The confirmation for your room is hyper-linked in the "Room" column (i.e. click the number and the reservation will pop up!  The hotel has already billed us for all the rooms.

Golf?

We made tee-times for 11:08 and 11:17 and assume that the Henke's, Liles, Zaitz, Hans and ???? will join us.... If someone else wants to play, let us know!

Dining On Friday Night & Saturday Night

We have made reservations for all thirty-six of us at the Blue Water Grille on Friday at 5:00 and at the Ristorente Villa Portofino at 4:30 on Saturday.

Note that the Blue Water Grille is fairly small so we asked that they take orders by the table and NOT try to get all the food orders for our group at the same time.... It would swamp the kitchen.

We have arranged for separate checks and Sue and I compensate the wait staff for the extra work.

Tickets To The Dance

We procured 40 tickets to the dance from Brown Paper Bag and they will be available to us at dinner... We will walk over and pick them up and bring them back to the restaurant.  They are $60/pp this year unless you are an ADSLA member.
