Day Six (Wednesday 1/16/2024) - Not Quite Dry But Ok To Walk
The morning began with the sun shining and clouds off to the distance! It is a new Hawai'i today!
Mary asked me about the weather!
Mary was off to the conference at 6:15 am and I was left alone again! So, I messed around the room and missed my morning buffet. I decided I would go to the local shopping center and get the "to-do list" done.
It was raining earlier in the day!"
OMG, 12,000 steps to find street level!
The flowers were magnificent.!
Indeed!
While walking around I noticed Tommy Pajamas will be open at 11:00 am so I found a chair and plopped myself down and waited 45 minutes.
Pineapple punch!
Fresh bread, oh so good!
They called it "The All American Burger"!
With loads of fresh onions!
Mr. Bird thought I was lonely.
He helped himself to my butter!
He could hardy fly after his little breakfast!
This was horrible, an empty glass!
The waitress seemed to like me; I ordered one piece of cake and got two!
I finished them off and invited the birdie back!
Another one bites the dust!
The flowers were so very pretty!
Did You Know? - Deer and squirrels do not eat them because of the toxic chemicals they produce. In Japan, spider lilies are used as a planting around rice paddies and houses to keep pests and mice away. Keep this in mind if you have small children. The flowers draw in birds, bees and butterflies to drink the nectar
Watch our for the red ones!
I took a short cut from our room to where Dr. Mary was hanging out under
The Banyan Tree"
I saw a tree and had to climb it!
The sun was setting which in Hawaiian means, "Find A Bar!"
Q: What's the scariest day on the Hawaiian calendar? A: Hula-ween.
They are getting to know us!
It is NOT two-buck Chuck, but it will do!
We had another delightful evening together.
Dinner is on the way!
The specialize in zuchinni blossoms!
It's time to head for the barn, Mary has to be up and going at 5:00 am
MAry did ask about wild Hawaiian animals and I told her I was the only one on the island! Besides, I would protect her!
Needless to say, Paul ran off and Mary starred-down the gator!
We made it home safely without becoming a meal for the gator.
Mary decided to sing!
That's my girl!
