Day One (Friday 1/12/2024) - Here We Go
Orange to LAX by limo, the only way to go! Bye Irene and Scout, youse guys be good! Our limo took off in a cloud of dust and we were heading west at 7:00 am.
The only traffic was entering the under-the-runway tunnel and it was not bad at all.
We met a new friend and shared wine and stories with her for about two hours.
I got a little worried when I saw our airplane!
Up up and away, Our A320 is climbing into the blue.
Early dinner is served.
The lasagna was perfect.

Maui Airport also known as Kahului Airport is the biggest and only international airport of the three other airports on Maui Island. Maui Airport is a regional airport of Hawaii and is located three miles east of the town of Kahului and occupies 1391 acres of land.
The slight mist was refreshing.
Mary's other bags were sent ahead!
We rented a car, loaded it, and wheeled down the highway with Mary being the navigator! What can go wrong?
It was an easy drive with my trusty co-pilor/navigator!
We made it, to the wrong entrance.
We ended up at the convention center instead of the hotel but with a little assistance, we got back to the hotel. It was about one block away. We unloaded our baggage and headed to the local watering hole for a nightcap.
Time for a nightcap!
It was midnight our time; we were pooped out.
Scout sent us a text; he still wants to go!
We finally found our room; this place is huge
