Day Three (Saturday 1/14/2024) - The Mouse Is Still Playing!
The day began at 5:15 am when the alarm rang and we jumped out of bed and hit the floor moving. Mary did her thing in the shower/bathroom and I sat at the table and finished off the Daily Diary.
Today is a normal day, she goes to work until 1:00 pm at which time we join forces and attack the surroundings.
Mary finally got her picture with the Maui Cubes!
I again walked the grounds taking notes on where to hide when the gendarmes come to get me for climbing trees... the story will come out sooner or later.
Its Sunday and the wedding chapel was not busy!
I thought about sneaking inside but
I remembered last time Mary and I went to Church.
We are in church. I said to Mary very quietly, "I've let out one of those silent farts, what do I do?" Mary says calmly, “Change the battery in your hearing aid.”
Oh dear!
When I showed up at the buffet it was two minutes past closing time. I looked so sad the manager took me over to the buffet manager and explained my dilemma The kind serving staff took pity on the old man and let him dive into the goodies just before they took everything away.
I forgot my bagel but I wanted to keep the birdies away so I covered the meal with m napkin. Several birds cried "Fowl!"
Oh buy, calories galore! Today I had a shrimp and cheese special.
Pineapple was a requirement, everything else was optional.
The pool is on the ground floor and the lobby is on the fourth floor so a lot of walking is involved.
The Koi surrounded the church.
Where is my fishing pole when I need it?
This looks too good to pass up!
This looks too good to pass up!
Lanai is up the coast toward the north.
The island in the distance is uninhabited.
The ballroom was huge and COLD!
The walk is quite pleasant with flowers everywhere.
I may NOT try this tree today, maybe tomorrow!
They said, "Down by the lagoon!"
Eagle eyes is on the path!
I can usually smell alcohol a mile away but it was too windy!
The directions did not say up and down bridges!
OK Bar, where are you??
We are not lost yet, we can see the hotel!
Yeah! Two chardonnays to go!
We took our drinks to the closest pool and sat in a lounge chair for about thirty minutes before going back to the room to rest. We have to leave for dinner about 3:45 pm.
Tonight it is Tommy Pajama's which is a short 17 mile walk from our room. I brought a loaf of bread to leave a trail so we could find our way back!
Did You Know? - In 1996, we launched our first Tommy Bahama Restaurant & Bar on Third Street in Naples, Florida, featuring delicious food, refreshing drinks, and warm hospitality.
We are on our way and we have a map!
My exercising worked, made it up the hill without stopping (too many times)
Enjoying our time together.
We should have NOT done the sliders first!
The menu had a little bit of everything1
The food was quite good! I loved the Creole Shrimp!
Mary opted for the salad!
We walked slowly through the shopping center.
The path back was marked with several lava stone walls and tropical flowers popping out at random places.
These walls will last for hundreds of years.
I sent her ahead in case there were wild animals.
Looks safe!
We held on to the rails with both hands. We would have slid down but those bamboo splinters are horrible.
We made it!!
I nominated Mary for person of the year for getting us back to the hotel in one piece!
We overachieved!
