Did You Know? -
The Cowboy Cha-Cha is a popular country-western dance that can be performed either as a line dance or as a progressive partner dance around the dance floor. It blends elements of the traditional Latin cha-cha with country-western dance styles, but unlike the Latin cha-cha, the Cowboy Cha-Cha omits the pronounced hip motion and instead uses a shuffle or triple-step movement. The dance is commonly set to slower country songs in the range of 100–125 beats per minute, with classics like "Neon Moon" by Brooks & Dunn being frequent choices.
Key features:
• Adaptable format: Can be danced solo (line dance) or with a partner, often in so-called sweetheart, cape, or skater positions.
• Step pattern: The dance typically alternates between forward and backward rock steps, interspersed with triple-step ("cha-cha-cha") sequences and rotational turns. You often see quarter or half turns featured within each set, and the basic pattern repeats across four or more walls.
• Origin: The Cowboy Cha-Cha emerged in the 1980s as country music clubs incorporated influences from disco and Latin dances. It became widely popular in the 1990s, notably after the release of songs like "Neon Moon"

The Cowboy Clock
A man showed some friends his apartment. One guest asked "What's that big brass basin for?" "That's the talking clock," answered the man. He gave it an ear shattering pound with a hammer. Suddenly, a voice on the other side of the wall screamed, "Knock it off, it's 2 a.m., you idiot!"
