The Board Arrives An Hour Early To Set Things Up!
The board members make sure the tables are set up properly, the centerpieces are in place, the name tags are accessible, the greeters table is organized, the displays are arrabged, the slideshow is running, and the backdrop/lighting is ready to go.
We test out the lighting!
Jim Crumply donated the cutouts for the dance.
Paul and Minnie Pearl (Mary) are happy with the lighting.

Jim shares his jug!!
Do NOT ask and we will not tell!!
The ladies join in! Who said, "Pass the Jug?"
Did You Know? - The "XXX" marking on moonshine jugs indicates the number of times the liquor has been distilled. Each "X" represents a distillation run through the still. Triple distillation (XXX) was a method to increase the alcohol content and purity of the moonshine, making it a stronger and higher quality product.
Come on Vicky, pass the jug.
Did You Know? - While not technically pure alcohol, moonshine labeled XXX was closer to being pure alcohol than moonshine that had been distilled fewer times.
Cultural Significance:
The XXX marking became a symbol of moonshine, particularly in popular culture, often associated with the strong, untaxed liquor produced in the backwoods.
The Display Table Caught A Lot Of Attention!
We never know where Vicky finds all this stufffor the displays but there is always a display tabled at our themed events.
Just one more little pour, please!
The Opry is on every Saturday Night directly from Nashville.
Did You Know? - The Grand Ole Opry can be heard on WSM Radio, either through their free live stream on their website or mobile app, or on SiriusXM's Willie's Roadhouse channel.

The Grand Ole Opry is broadcast live on WSM-AM at 7 p.m. CT on Saturday nights

Definition of Cowboy Jokes: Cowboy jokes are a unique blend of wit, dry humor, and the quintessential elements of Western life. These jests celebrate the idiosyncrasies of cowboys, their rugged lifestyle, and their encounters with the vast, untamed landscapes of the Old West. From witty one-liners about ranch life to pun-filled quips about life on the trail, cowboy jokes offer a humorous perspective on the iconic figures of American folklore.
The horses-do-vers we set up just under one of the video monitors. The grub was pretty tasty this evening.

One hot and dry day in the Wild West, this dog walks into a saloon and says, "Gimme a beer".
Evidently this type of thing wasn't too rare 'round those parts because the bartender said, "I'm sorry, but we don't serve dogs here." The dog then took out a silver dollar, dropped it on the bar, and said, "Look, I got money, and I want a beer."
This scene had the potential to get ugly. The bartender, getting a little irate, said one more time, "We do not serve dogs here. Please leave." The dog growled, so the bartender pulled out a gun and shot the dog in the foot! The dog yelped, and ran out the door.
The next day, the swinging bar doors were tossed open and in walks the dog that had been in the saloon the day before. He was dressed all in black. A black cowboy hat, a black vest, three black cowboy boots and one black bandage. The dog looks around, waits for the talking to quiet down, and says, "I'm lookin' fer the man who shot my paw."
Not all cowboy hats are created equal!
