Late June 2008 In The Garden
It has not been a warm summer so far (sorry Al Gore... Global warming caused by humans is BUNK). We have had zucchini all over the place and green beans gone wild!
The ones that got away!! They hide in the greenery and are difficult to find until they get large!
String beans and blue berries!
Side Yard Is Kicking In
Plums & Brandy This Winter Over Vanilla Ice Cream... Yum!
Did You Know? - A plum or gage is a stone fruit tree in the genus Prunus, subgenus Prunus. The subgenus is distinguished from other subgenera (peaches, cherries, bird cherries, etc) in the shoots having a terminal bud and the side buds solitary (not clustered), the flowers being grouped 1-5 together on short stems, and the fruit having a groove running down one side, and a smooth stone.
