Page 6 (10/1 Sunday) - The Conference Ends And We Take Off In The Car
The conference was over at noon and I had previously loaded the car and made it ready for takeoff since we had almost a four hour drive and needed to be in Dover for a six o'clock family dinner.
Mary stepped out the convention center into the car and we were off like a flash! I took the longer route as it looked to be more scenic and it indeed was a nice drive in excellent weather.
It was a nice drive and we enjoyed a Dunkin' Donuts on the way!
The day started out with a bang as I "Accidentally" dropped
one of the plastic spiders near the shower!
While she was finishing up, I walked around the conference center.
The patio was perfect for summer outdoor events.
If I had a single flower for every time I think about you, I could walk forever in my garden.
There was another building for boats plus a pool and other athletic events.
Did I say they used a lot of granite?
Did You Know? - The name is derived from Latin. The name 'granite' is derived from the Latin word 'granum', which refers to a coarse grain. The name was given to the stone due to its coarse-grained structure.
We are off and running!
Interesting bridges
Mark liked the chauffer!
The colors along the road were fantasitc
Even with the windshield reflections.
We zip-bopped along and did not take any pictures as the roads were narrow and we were trying to make time.
The B&B was built in 1871, almost as old as us!
We had a three room suite which was huge.
Did You Know? - Colonial beds are so high to avoid cool drafts that were close to the ground. Typically, the higher the bed off the ground, the closer it would be to the warmer air.
The sitting area had another single bed as well as two couches.
The downstairs was a "tea room" during the day!
The dining area had five tables sitting from two to eight people each.
We had to look at everything and everything was in perfect shape!
We are getting ready for the family dinner!
Time to go!
