Let The Fun Begin!
On our way.... The sun is setting....
Did You Know? - The Easter parade is an American cultural event consisting of a festive strolling procession on Easter Sunday. Typically, it is a somewhat informal and unorganized event, with or without religious significance. Persons participating in an Easter parade traditionally dress in new and fashionable clothing, particularly ladies' hats, and strive to impress others with their finery.
The Easter parade is most closely associated with Fifth Avenue in New York City, but Easter parades are held in many other cities. Starting as a spontaneous event in the 1870s, the New York parade became increasingly popular into the mid-20th century—in 1947, it was estimated to draw over a million people. Its popularity has declined significantly, drawing only 30,000 in 2008.
Beyond these doors awaits great fun!!
See the peep show
Did You Know? - Peeps are produced by Just Born, a candy manufacturer founded in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania by Russian immigrant Sam Born. In 1953, Just Born acquired the Rodda Candy Company and its marshmallow chick line, and replaced the painstaking process of hand-forming the chicks with mass production. The yellow chicks were the original form of the candy — hence their name — but then the company introduced other colors and, eventually, the myriad shapes in which they are now produced.
Theme.... Easter On Parade
What a beautiful table.... Candles in buckets, fresh flowers, colorful plates....
They made the dance floor quite pretty
Tom brought some flowers also
Tom Takes The Flowers... What Is This Man Up To??
I'm going to borrow the flowers for a few minutes
Hey Tom... Where ya taking the flowers???
Ah ha.... Good man!
He has a way with flowers....
Is it the man or the flowers or both????
"Hello... Hello... This is Cherrell"
Our Table Was Occupied By Bunnies...
Tom listenes to the bunnies
"I hope he decides NOT to sing!"
Let's stroll!
In your easter bonnet, with all the frills upon it,
You'll be the grandest lady in the easter parade.
I'll be all in clover and when they look you over,
I'll be the proudest fellow in the easter parade.
On the avenue, fifth avenue, the photographers will snap us,
And you'll find that you're in the rotogravure.
Oh, I could write a sonnet about your easter bonnet,
And of the girl I'm taking to the easter parade.
Time to dance...
Inspecting the singing/moving toys
... "My Bunny!"
We are decorated
and ready to dance
It's singing to Tom
... or... Is Tom singing to it???
Kilroy or Tom? "Is she gone yet??"
"He tried one of each on his shirt!"
Nice hat
... I didn't know that eggs grew on trees??
