Join "The Gang" For Various 2020 Adventures
2020 and we are in a new decade. 2020 (MMXX) is the current year, and is a leap year starting on Wednesday of the Gregorian calendar, the 2020th year of the Common Era (CE) and Anno Domini (AD) designations, the 20th year of the 3rd millennium, the 20th year of the 21st century, and the 1st year of the 2020s decade.
2020 is the Year of the Rat according to Chinese zodiac. This is a Year of Metal Rat, starting from the 2020 Chinese New Year on Jan. 25 and lasting to 2021 Lunar New Year's Eve on Feb. 11. Rat is the first in the 12-year cycle of Chinese zodiac.
It All Stopped: The yearly capture of events stopped in January. Sue's health was getting worse and this was the last group get together she attended. Her circulation was so bad she needed a heavy coat everywhere she went. At this first event we departed early and a little after midnight she had another episode which put her in the hospital.
She was in and out of hospitals for the next seven weeks and passed on the 19th of February, ten days after Kathy Roberts passed.
I kept up with events and my life as best I could on the Daily Diary. To top it off, COVID hit hard and for the next two years our group events were severaly limited!
2021 - 2023 was a period where our adventures were smaller. As the years wore on we went to the Elks Lodge in Santa Ana as things loosened up. We also did a lot of "clandestined" dancing at Marcin's and our favorite Indian restaurant.
We will begin againin 2024!
