Day 4 - 9/27/2026 - Off To Dover New Hampshire (Daily Diary)
Mary planned to head to school early for what was apparently a very important fancy breakfast with her classmates. Meanwhile, Robin and I planned to stay behind to handle the glamorous behind-the-scenes work: packing everything up, eating breakfast, and cramming our belongings into the car. Basically, ten pounds of bags in a five-pound car. We challenged the laws of physics.
Mary was off and running at 7:00 a.m., bright-eyed and breakfast-bound, while we stayed back to finish packing our traveling circus. Of course, breakfast was mandatory — we needed to fuel up for the next four hours of driving, navigating, and pretending the car wasn't completely stuffed to the roof. Pound car. Physics was not on our side.
I checked the weather reports, and it looks like we'll miss the storm — but only by the kind of tiny margin that makes you question your life choices. We'll get some rain on the way to Dover, but thankfully it should be mostly light, with mild winds and, hopefully, no dramatic, movie-style windshield moments.
