It's time for an evening of magic with friends. We all start by meeting at Rothschild's Restaurant, 2407 E Coast Highway, Corona Del Mar, CA, 92625, United States for an early 4:00 pm dinner.
Dianne met us at our house for the trip south!
Then we walk/waddle two block to Sherman Gardens.
This evening's we will "visit Christmases past" as we navigate the gardens and take a stroll down memory lane. This year's theme "Celebrate 10 Years of Nights of 1000 Lights" will bring back interpretations of the best installations for another festive year of favorites.
Picture Sherman's grand Christmas tree as the centerpiece of the Central Garden set among the magic of Christmas ribbons come to life and a sea of brilliant poinsettias. Once we wound ourselves through holiday vines, the iconic light tunnel will guided us to the legendary Moon Goddess! Once again, she will grace our garden to bring her celestial peace of the season.
Another eye-popping 3D experience awaited us in the conservatory, a Scandinavian Christmas in the sun garden, and a boogie bonanza in the tea garden. The Crystal Disco Christmas vibe returns for all your funky holiday fun! Make your disco ball wish on the wishing tree, visit Santa in his adobe, and then head to the fire pit and whip up your own batch of s'mores. Plus, the Garden Shop will be open and stocked with unique holiday gifting items.
Tonight's Crew Have Joined Us Before!
This year Robin will be in Arizona and Nick and Dianne will join us for the evening.
Wonderful memories of years gone by!!
The Day Began With Sadness
The fog was thick enough to cut with a knife!
We went to the First Presbyterian Church of Tustin for the Ceremony for Mary Capps, a long time dancing friend our ours who passed after a long illness.
Vicky and Jim arrived first....
Will and Iris came right after Vicky
Karen and the son and lady joined us.
We took up the last space
"You want what???"
Smoooooch!!
She was a beautiful young lady!
...and she loved purple!!
We arrived right at 4:00 pm!
It's been here for a while.
Donna gave us a rendition of the song she sang at the Celebration Of Life
The twins arrive, keep your hands over your wallet!!
Jim listens to the same old stories.
She is ready to dance, been sitting too long!
Dianne is patiently awaiting her glass of vino!
We had a load of fun at dinner!
All smiles!
We are the serious ones!
Bob and Nick got here at 5:00 pm; we still had plenty of time!
Love those sweaters!!
Dianne somehow got them BOTH to smile!
This was a difficult image to take!
The waitress did well!
Now from the other end!
Paul is smiling!
Jim regales us with a story...
It requires use of the hands!
We are sure Jim is Italian!!
Dessert is gone, time to walk!!
Santa watches over us!
They look like a stop light; RED and GREEN!
"Follow me gang!!"
