Celebrating a wonder new family!
We headed to Rancho Cucamonga which is the closest town to Green Mountain Ranch just off the I-15 before going through the Devore Pass. Most of the wedding party stayed at the Four Points Sheraton which turned out to be quite a nice hotel and was closed to many nice places to dine.
We headed to the venue arriving at 2:00. It was an easy drive leaving the hustle and bustle of the city to the quite of the mountains in a few short minutes! Join the rehearsal.
After a successful rehearsal we headed back to the hotel to freshen up, hit the hotel's watering hole, and then go about one block to The Old Spaghetti Factory. We had our own room set up and a long table so we could all cavort the evening away. It was loads of fun and the meal was excellent. We had a couple of "by the seat of the pants" toasts including a duet by Gary and Paul. Join the fun.
What happens at the hotel bar stays at the hotel bar. So secrets will be revealed in the text. However, careful examination of the photos may reveal things of an interesting nature. Actually, it was an extremely well behaved and cool group with the most important thing being we only had to drive the elevator to our rooms! Have a drink with us !
The next morning we were kind of on our own with the wedding party doing their nails and hair (including the boys). Several of us found excellent places for breakfast. It was a fantastic weather day hitting the high seventies and a little wind.
We headed to the venue at 2:00 so we could all help with the setup but actually most everything was done when we arrived. The guys and gals did an amazing job of making the ranch come alive with Becca and Zack signs, picture, and memories! Join the preparations!
We noticed several people were missing and then someone heard about an accident on the I-15 and things were backed up. It was decided to stall a few minutes At 4:45 the clock said get underway and we did.
Everyone looked so fantastic! The wedding party was dressed and ready to go so the procession began with Gary and Zack walking "the last mile". Please join the ceremony .
Who said "Time To Party!"? The ceremony was short and sweet and well executed. We loved the Unity Candle Ceremony done by Jeanette and Peanut even if the wind was not totally cooperative. The vows were exchanged and it was indeed time to party!
The upper area tables were decorated, the heater were going full blast the the DJ was taking requests!
We were treated the the amazing first dance by Mr. and Mrs. Lind with jaws dropping as they executed a perfect Nightclub Two Step with Becca being presented to the audience.
We had the Best Man's Toast very nicely executed by Noah, they tossed the bouquet, and of course the garter was removed most carefully by the husband!
Dinner was great, the entertainment delightful and everyone had a super time! Please enjoy the fun !
Some of us headed back to the hotel bar for a little libation... Maybe a big libation and then a few more toasts to this wonderful new family! Everybody was in great humor wth miles and miles and smiles and smiles. Cousin Colleen from New Hampshire got some "Lilly Time" allowing Becca and Zack to join the festivities. What a wonderful day. Join the fun !
The Liles clan headed to Temecula (well, we were so close) for lunch and a bit of wine tasting.
