The New Year of the Gregorian calendar, today in worldwide use, falls on 1 January, continuing the practice of the Roman calendar. There are numerous calendars that remain in regional use that calculate the New Year individually.
We do the celebrations in "low-key". The need to get "blasted" went away about 40 years ago so now we head to the Elks Lodge and celebrate with dear friends. we end up the evening with hot chocolate and a cinnamon roll! Beats the heck out of a hangover!
We got phone calls from Jon Liles (grandson), the Chartiers, Mitch & Zachary Lind, and Robin & Bob Duda.
It's going to be one to remember !!
This Year In Summary
What a great year... We are really into this retirement thing now and our activity level increases with almost every day! We keep dancing every time we get a chance and the golf game has actually improved. We are getting good at museum's and local gardens. The babies are doing fantastic for being 15 years old.... They guard the house every night we are gone.
Kat is doing OK and Aunt Kaye is doing swell!
Life is pretty good except for the ticket Paul got on the way home.

New Years Eve Morning/Afternoon
We began the day at Old Ranch in an attempt to play golf. James joined us along with Bunnaford. Van was a new addition to the happy holiday season. We finished the 19th hole and headed for home to visit the babies.
The best hole of the day was 19!

New Years Day Was Laid Back And No Floats This Year.... It Rained!
We watched the parade and made plans to go see the floats but alas, the weather seemed a little bit scary. We were lazy so we stayed around the house until lunch and we went to Old Ranch and spent a few hours dining and viewing the snow on the mountains. Afterwards we came home and did our newsletter for our dance clubs before watching Christmas moviess.
