We Are Off To Rothchild's And Sherman Gardens
We had dinner at Rothschilds at 4:00 PM so we could be in the gardens by 6:00 PM. We walked and talked and danced and kibitzed all night long; well, at least until 9:00 PM.
ROTHSCHILD'S has been the cornerstone of Corona Del Mar for over 45 years. It has been family owned since early conception and has become a place where customers and staff have come to call home.
Bob attempts to explain
"Here's to ya!"
David enjoys the meal even before it is served!
"They did not even check my ID!"
Photo-bombed by Donna
Just us!
Turn-about is fair play!
The joint was jumping!
We took a stroll in the glistening light tunnel, went under the sea in the Succulent Garden, boogied in the Crystal Disco, experienced a South Beach Christmas in the Tropical Conservatory, and made a wish at The Wishing Tree.
The Orange Train Depot featured model trains and citrus. Aerial silk performers, a fairy forest, and other surprises awaited us throughout the Gardens.
The walk was perfect and the weather just right for a cold Christmas night!
The fog machine was working overtime,
Mary thought it was a FROG machine!
The mushrooms have taken over!
Good evening ladies!
Dianne, Donna, and Mary
Amazing flowers everywhere.
They looked so real!
We looked for the toads but they must have been scared off!
We found one hiding in the bushes!
The frog pond was surrealistic with the fog machine going
Mr. Toad's home was right on the water!
The choo choo was going around and around!
David and Bob ran back and forth scaring the little kids (and us too)
The express was moving quite rapidly
The train station had the railway map!
"OK guys, we must move on!
They looked dangerous.
Hiding in the bushes ready to pounce!
Boo! I am freightening!
Even the orchids took on a different look this evening.
Poor babies, they only have one leg!
Talk about bright.
Lights everywhere.
It must have taken the staff days to make this so beautiful.
...and speaking of beautiful!
The wildlife was out this evening.
Looking good guys!
The light tunnel was active this evening
The grassy area turned into a large sculpture.
Donna is stuck in the time tunnel.
Ahhhhh!
There were some creative folks working here!
Bob checks the map; we are still here.
He is right; we were totally cool!
There were 10,000 lights just in this tree alone.
It was called "The Wishing Tree"
Not too bad considering the lighting challenge.
One more time.
Everybody smile!
The reds were magnificent.
She was amazing; made us all dizzy just looking at her act.
Finally, a soft landing.
We needed 3-D glasses and they were available!
The octopus was standing right out front
Indeed, jelly fish! All we needed was peanut-butter fish!
OK, who has the glasses?
Silly us, Dr. Mary has the glasses!
Music time; Donna is ready!
Mary hears the music!
Ah
