Family Christmas Play 2013

What Is This All About? - For the past 28 years the Candlelight Pavilion has presented 28 original, family-friendly Christmas stories with all the joy and magic you would expect of the holiday season. This year we continue that tradition with a heartwarming story that will surely melt the hardest of hearts. As is our custom, the children are asked to join Santa on stage during the performance.

It is there that the true magic of Christmas is found, in the smiling faces and twinkling eyes of those who are wise enough to believe in the miracle of Christmas. At the conclusion of the show there is also a photo opportunity with the big guy himself, so don’t forget your camera.

Did You Know? - Claremont is a college town on the eastern border of Los Angeles County, California, United States, 32.5 miles (52.3 km) east of downtown Los Angeles. Claremont is an affluent city just nestled below the San Gabriel Mountains and very famous for the Claremont Colleges.

The population, as of the 2010 census, is 34,926. Claremont is known for its many educational institutions, its tree-lined streets, and its historic buildings.

In July 2007, it was rated by CNN/Money magazine as the fifth best place to live in the United States, and was the highest rated place in California on the list.

Due to its large number of trees and residents with doctoral degrees, it is sometimes referred to as "The City of Trees and PhDs".

The city is primarily residential, with a significant portion of its commercial activity revolving around "The Village", a popular collection of street-front small stores, boutiques, art galleries, offices, and restaurants adjacent to and west of the Claremont Colleges.

The Village was expanded in 2007, adding a controversial multi-use development that includes a cinema, a boutique hotel, retail space, offices, and a parking structure on the site of an old citrus packing plant just west of Indian Hill Boulevard. Some critics say that the expansion negatively altered the original, small-town feel of The Village.

Did You Know? - Mick started working for the Candlelight Pavilion when it opened in October 1985 as a busboy. He graduated from USC’s School of Business and Cal Poly Pomona ‘s School of Restaurant Management. Mick worked his way up through different jobs to become General Manager in 1990.
Mick is active in the Claremont community and with the city of Claremont chamber of Commerce.

He was voted Businessman of the year for Claremont in 1999. Mick served as President of the Claremont Chamber Board of Directors in 2000.

Happily married, Mick and his wife, Toni, have two children, Rhett and Sarah.

When asked about his hobbies, Mick says, “golf, Dodgers, and Trojan football!”
