Irish Christmas In America (12/02/2008)
December 2nd was the first official Christmas event at the Cerritos Performing Arts Center. We had a great time listening to excellent artists doing traditional Irish folk music.
An amazing amount of talent
In a spellbinding presentation of Ireland’s culture, history, and holiday customs, An Irish Christmas in America mingles ancient traditions with the modern artistry of the country’s finest performers, including the hot young touring band Téada. Chosen in 2003 by Irish Music Magazine as “Best Traditional Newcomers,” the heralded group has earned a worldwide reputation for staging knock-out live shows. Award-winning singer Cara Dillon, renowned for her remarkable ability to blend traditional influences with contemporary Folk sounds and themes, performs seasonal favorites.
