Making The tocker Work
I was geeting short on my breath when I exerted myself. The old ticker was not supply sufficient blood to the muscles. It turns out as far back as April 2025, I had Atrial fibrillation.
Atrial fibrillation (AFib) is a common heart rhythm disorder where the upper chambers of the heart (atria) beat irregularly and rapidly. This can cause blood to pool in the atria and increase the risk of blood clots, which can lead to stroke.
We tried medications but to no avail so it was time for a surgincal procedure.
Surgery to restore a normal heart rhythm can include cardiac ablation, which uses heat or cold to scar abnormal heart tissue, or cardioversion, which uses electrical shocks to reset the heart's rhythm. Other options involve implanting a device like a pacemaker to regulate the heartbeat or performing more complex procedures like hybrid-maze ablation.
It worked, the AFib is gone and not returned.
My shortness of breath has disappeared and I am feeling much better.
Now we are ready for the trip to the Caribbean with Colleen and family!
