A Little Fun Is A Requirement In Life

The other day I went our little shopping center for some coffee at Starbucks with Del.

We were only in there for about 15 minutes but when we came out there was a cop writing out a parking ticket.

Ok, so the car was parked in the red zone.

I went up to him and with a little attitude I said, 'Come on, how about giving a retired person a break'?

He ignored me and continued writing the ticket - so I called him a 'Nazi.'

He glared at me and started writing another ticket for having worn tires.

So I called him a 'doughnut eating Gestapo.'

He finished the second ticket and put it on the windshield with the first.

Then he started writing a third ticket.

This went on for about 20 minutes.

The more I had 'attitude' and abused him, the more tickets he wrote. I guess the pen is mightier than my mouth.

Personally, I didn't care...as it wasn't OUR car he was ticketing. I don't know WHO owned it.

But the car that he was putting the tickets on had a bumper sticker that said 'Obama in '08.'

I try to have a little fun each day now that I'm retired.
